How to implement Google Analytics 4(GA4)? 

To implement Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in Beamer, follow these steps to track user interactions with your Beamer posts and NPS responses:

Obtain Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID

  • Go to your Google Analytics account.
  • Navigate to Admin > Data Streams and select your desired stream.

  • Copy the Measurement ID (it starts with “G-“).

Add the GA4 Tag ID in Beamer Settings

  • Log into your Beamer account.
  • Navigate to Settings > Product Settings: Beamer Settings.
  • Locate the Google Analytics 4 Tag ID field under the Advanced section.

  • Paste your GA4 Measurement ID here and save the changes.

What Will Be Tracked

  • In-app and widget analytics for posts and interactions.
  • Analytics will be tracked for any CTA or hyperlinks within the post.
  • Standalone pages where Beamer is used will also be tracked.

What Won’t Be Tracked

  • Boosted announcements and snippet views are not tracked. Usually boosted announcements will injected into existing pages of your site through a script”
  • No specific page path is created for snippets in GA4 (URLs remain unchanged).
